Junior Hockey

Juniors:
Douglas Hockey Association's junior hockey program is for players aged 9 -17 years old.

Junior Hockey gives young boys and girls the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills, play fun games and make friends in a team environment.

The Program:
The Junior Sticks Program is run by qualified coaches and includes specifically designed drills for all skill levels and a competitive game in a community club competition.

When:
Junior hockey is held on Sunday mornings from 9:45 am to 10:45 am at the Mossman Showgrounds Sports Precinct from May to Nov and the undercover area of St Augustine’s during the summer wet season. (Feb to April). New players are welcome anytime.

Costs:
Cost for the Junior Program:
$100 per player which includes Hockey Queensland Registration & insurance.

Equipment:
Sticks and shin guards are available for sale at the clubhouse.
Mouth guards are available from local chemists.

Uniform:
Playing shirt-Supplied by the Club
Socks- Supplied by the Club
Players are requested to wear black shorts/skirt/bike pants with their uniform shirt.
Footwear- runners or sports boots.
